Advising
As a major advisor, I meet with students to discuss which upper-division courses they should take plus help them think about how to tie in their education with their occupational goals.
Here are some resources that advisees might find helpful:
CLAS Advising Center. This center provides a variety of services for CLAS students, including a list of all class requirements & various forms needed.
Sociology Department. The undergraduate page gives information about declaring a major, sociology requirements, and what to do with a sociology major. Especially useful is this list of "frequently asked questions."
Graduation information. The registrar's office puts out this checklist of things to do in order to graduate.
Undergraduate catalog. A surprising number of undergraduate's questions can be answered with information from the Undergraduate Catalog.
Career services. Not sure what you want to do with your life after graduation? Career services has various counseling, programs, and workshops to help you to figure it out. They have drop-in hours most days, so you can just stop by.
