Both by training and interest, I view the world through a social psychological lens--how the person interacts with and is shaped by society. Previously I have taken this approach to the study of homelessness and crime, and now I have taken up religion as my main study topic. I do so out of personal interest, as I profess and (on distressingly infrequent days) try to practice the principles of Christianity.
Divorce Rates among Christians
This project addresses a very simple question: Do Christians get divorced more often than others? Relying on survey data from various sources, I present bivariate analyses comparing divorce rates by religious affiliation and activity levels. Among the behaviors considered:
Deconversion from Christianity
Why do Christians leave the faith? This project analyses narratives from 50+ deconverts, looking for common themes in their stories.
